Losing weight in Marudi

Day 1

It was the second week of July 2017 and I started my weight loss regime again. Last week, I tried a vegan meal and it tasted not bad.

RM3.80 for few stalks of French bean, cabbages and few slices of carrot
I brought with me two ears of corn for my breakfast. For lunch, I had a plateful of rice, sauteed vegetables and few pieces of chicken cuts cooked in Chinese red rice wine. The taste of rice was very satisfying. So much that I longed for it when dinner time came. I had two slices of papaya and a 300g-floret of broccoli for dinner. I was starving. The bland taste of the broccoli didn't help. I took a spoonful of Lady's Choice mayonnaise to help me to gulp down all the broccoli.


After awhile, I did not feel hungry. In fact, I felt happy for the 300-calories meal.

Day 2

I was all-ready for a broccoli and chicken breakfast. I had a good 9-hour sleep last night. The cool breeze greeted me when I got off from the bed. I brushed my teeth and happily ran down towards the wet market, only to find all the chicken meat was not the freshly-slaughtered ones. I suddenly remembered that I supposed to get my blood taken for the Hospital's health screening programme. I cut and washed the broccoli floret few times. I put in some salt and immersed it in water.

I managed 10 pushups and 70 seconds plank.

0925 Hour. My stomach was growing. I bought two pieces of 111 calories-laden ang ku kueh to satisfy the hunger and another 333 calories-laden fried dabai rice for lunch. Faint. My good old senior staff bought me another chicken burger, containing 440 calories for dinner. Double Faint.

I forced myself another 20 pushups and 70 seconds plank.
Another 15 seconds high-knee jumps.
20 seconds of squats.
