Road to Marudi

is not accessible to all cars except 4WD and light commercial vehicle like Toyota Hilux.

I always checked for the latest development of Miri-Marudi road. I was estactic to see the tarred road upon entering the Miri-Marudi junction but after riding for the next 5 km, my heart sunk.

Potholes everywhere. I was bounced here and there in the car. I was nauseatic throughout the journey.

Two major hill digging works could be seen.

These streches were the worst if it was raining. Road would be slippery and dangerous.

At KM30 from the junction, one would reach Sungai Arang bridge.

This last strech of 9 km bumpy road was unbearable.

Insanity

The last 3 km of gravel road before reaching ferry point did not save the day. My head was spinning and whole body ached.
