Day 1

I decided to take a 100-day off to help Wife with the children. Part of it, is that I am tired of waking up early in the morning to take the 5am transport to Marudi to work. Another part of it, is that I have some problems communicating with my superior who really gets on my nerves all the time. Part of it, is I am disappointed with the system. But most importantly, my presence at home is very much needed. I reached home late last after the usual 3-hour ride from workplace. I literally laid onto the bed, much to Wife's displeasure as I did not switch on the house alarm and bring the house keys into the room. The boys were still running about, shouting and fighting.

Day 1.  We went to visit our regular paediatrician as Angeline's weight seemed to be light at 3.175kg. Her skin was a bit dry and red spots all over her face. He suggested milk powder to supplement the breastmilk. We went to the gynae's office for wife's post natal review. I called the alarm people to install another two CCTV cameras and outdoor alarm to reinforce house's security.

At the end of the day, I felt bad. I did not prepare any lunch or dinner. Wife was extremely sad as her milk production was low. The boys seem neglected. I did not carry out my responsibilities well.

I plan the lunch and dinner meal now. And list out things to do tomorrow. I pray that Wife will feel better tomorrow. I know that she is not sleeping well for many weeks. We always pray to God that I can be transferred back soon. I want to be a better husband and father in these coming 99 days.
