Angeline's 1 st Birthday Celebration

I remember vividly Darrien's first birthday in Sibu and Jacob's first birthday in Kuala Lumpur. Wife always celebrated our children's first birthdays with great enthusiasm. Our angel's birthday celebration was prepared months earlier. She made most of night's decorations herself.

The dinner was held in a restaurant inside Gloria Hotel. We invited close friends and relatives to join in the fun. I was blown away when I entered the restaurant. The dessert spread. The Princess-themed decorations. The backdrop. The three-tiered birthday cake. The crown. All the matching props.

Wife asked two of her friends to help setting up the stage earlier in the morning. I was staying at home, taking care of the kids.

We had the first course, fried mee sua. Princess had mouthfuls of it and she seemed enjoying every bite.

Her Go Go were grabbing every chance to gulp down the free flow of soft drinks.

I made a simple speech, thanking all our guests and said a meal's prayer. After the appetizer dish and fish maw soup, we sang Birthday song and cut the cake.

We were surprised that Angeline took no time to swallow her piece of cake. The rare time of having a good big piece of sweet cake. With all the icing. I enjoyed the soft cake too.

A couple of days later, Wife went outsation. I bought a piece of roasted chicken thigh for the birthday baby. The boys had one each too.

I asked Darrien to take video and pictures of the us singing birthday song, blowing the candle and cutting the cake.

Free style photo taking with the princess.

You had grown up very fast. I missed a lot of your growing moments. But I promise to made up those lost moments next year when Mummy let Daddy becoming a stay-at-home dad again. Grow up well, my girl!
